Trust & Transparency

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 12, 2026 • Last Updated: June 2026

Our Core Privacy Principle: Offline Data Sovereignty

InfoOS is built from the ground up as an offline-first application. Your daily transactions, sales records, customer phone numbers, recipe margins, and inventory quantities are written directly to your local computer's storage. We do not sell, rent, or harvest your transactional business records.

1. Information We Collect

When you interact with the InfoOS website and licensing service, we collect:

  • Account Registration Data: Your name, email address, phone number, and business name required to issue and verify software licenses.
  • Billing & Payment Information: When purchasing a subscription, payment credentials are processed securely by our PCI-compliant payment partners (e.g. Stripe or Razorpay). InfoOS never stores your credit card numbers.
  • Voluntary Cloud Backups: If you enable Cloud Backup Sync, your encrypted store snapshots are transmitted over TLS 1.3 and stored in encrypted cloud vaults exclusively for your restoration needs.

2. Local Data & BYO AI Key Privacy

If you activate the AI Store Assistant feature with your own API key (such as Google Gemini or OpenAI):

  • Your API key is encrypted and stored strictly in your local Windows application settings.
  • Queries and prompts are dispatched directly from your terminal to the AI provider’s official endpoint.
  • InfoOS servers never intercept, log, or store your AI prompts or private business questions.

3. How We Use Information

The minimal information we collect is utilized strictly to:

  • Validate active software seats and issue terminal activation keys.
  • Deliver critical application security updates and bug fixes.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot printer or database issues when requested.
  • Comply with statutory tax and accounting requirements for software licenses.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. All cloud data exchanges use TLS 1.3 encryption. Optional cloud backups are protected with AES-256 encryption at rest.

5. Your Data Export & Deletion Rights

Because InfoOS stores your database locally, you always retain 100% ownership of your business records. You can export your data in `.csv`, `.xlsx`, or raw `.sqlite` format at any time directly from the desktop settings. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting our privacy team.
